Reflections

Human Kind with Alex

Welcome

Humankind is a space for the quiet, honest, and deeply human parts of our lives the moments we outgrow who we’ve been, the relationships that shape (and sometimes wound) us, the shadows we avoid, and the selves we are slowly becoming. I write from a relational, psychodynamic, and Jungian-inspired lens: gentle, reflective, soulful psychology that makes room for uncertainty, complexity, depth, and the truth of your inner world.

My Hope Is That These Writings Feel Like:

  • a pause
  • a breath
  • a place to land

Whether you’re reading from the UK, South Africa, or here by the ocean in Plettenberg Bay, may something in these reflections help you feel a little less alone in your own unfolding.

What You’ll Find Here

Stories of being human. Insights from therapy and inner work. Thoughtful explorations of grief, identity, transitions, patterns, relationships, and meaning. Gentle psychological guidance without clichés or quick fixes.

This is not a space for “tips and tricks.” It’s a space for truth and tenderness. A place where we remember our humanness — and hold it with kindness.

If you’re curious about therapy

I offer psychotherapy online in the UK and South Africa, as well as in-person sessions in Plettenberg Bay. My work is long-term, depth-oriented, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through relationship, awareness, and the courage to know ourselves more fully.

You can learn more on my main website, or simply begin by reading whatever calls to you here.

Welcome to Human Kind.

A softer way of seeing yourself.
